Imagine a young family rolling into Green River Utah in the 80s. They pull in for some gas and the dad asks the attendant “You know a motel nearby that happens to have a restaurant and also a pool?” The attendant looks slowly up from the register and says “Buddy, you aren’t going to believe this...”
Not the most dynamic old Utah sign, but the sheer bluntness and no-frills gave me a good chuckle. In somewhat recent years, this old motel became the Book Cliffs Lodge. The reviews are...not great. You may be surprised to hear it is permanently closed. Sorry if you needed a combo motel passing through Green River...
